| Welcome to the Minot Air Force Base Child Development Center! We seek to provide a safe, healthy, caring, and learning environment for the children in our care. We devote each moment of our day to the development of an environment conducive to learning. Each child is challenged to reach his or her fullest development of the WHOLE CHILD. We believe that children learn by first-hand experiences, by becoming involved in activities, and by playing. Play aids growth; it provides an imaginary world where children can master events that happen and provide a basis for physical development. Play is a way of learning adult roles; it is vital and essential to the survival of all humans. A CHILD'S WORK...IS HIS PLAY! Our curriculum includes daily creative learning activities, dramatic play, cooking experiences, literacy skills, special visitors, and high-energy motor skill development.
Childcare fees are determined by the total family income. Hourly care and free childcare for Red Cross and Family Support volunteers is offered on a space available basis. Part-day preschool is offered in conjunction with the school year for children ages 3-5.
Parents are encouraged to participate and become actively involved in all aspects of the program. Parent advisory meetings are held monthly at the CDC on the first Wednesday of the month at 12 noon. Lunch is provided and we'd love to see you there!
